Selina

In the middle of the charming old town of Würzburg lives Selina, a young woman who shares her story with us. She is 30 years old, was born in Schweinfurt and has been here for seven years. What she loves about Würzburg is not only the familiar atmosphere, but also the openness of the people and the many social activities that prepare the ground for change in the city. For her, life in Würzburg is a constant reminder of what “home” really is – a place where you feel safe and secure.

Selina talks about her personal experiences and her thoughts on topics that affect us all: community, integration and social development. She is particularly concerned about the divisions that can currently be observed in society.

“My biggest concern is the polarization of society. People are hostile towards each other without really questioning the reasons for it,” she says with a mixture of concern and hope. She sees the opportunities for social inclusion. She wants a society in which differences are not judged, but seen as an enrichment. She sees education as one of the most important measures.

She would also like to make a contribution herself: “I want to be successful, develop my potential and help to create a climate of openness and mutual respect in society.” For her, success is measured above all by the extent to which she can create positive relationships and foster a sense of community.

Selina draws new energy from walks in nature, yoga or conversations that go deeper than the usual empty phrases. For her, it is this connection to herself and to others that makes life worth living.

Das Projekt
in aller Kürze

Jeder Mensch - egal wie alt, egal woher - will irgendwann endlich ankommen.
